Srinagar (KNO) : MartyrsDoctor Farooq Ahmad Ashaieand otherswere the great sonsof soil who sacrificed their lives for just cause of freedom and became an immortal page of our history. Demise of the wife of father of nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt a national loss .Her struggle and sacrifices should always be remembered. This was stated by the ailing chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued from hospital today. While paying rich tributes to martyr DoctorFarooq Ashaie, YasinMalik said that doctor Ashaie was a great soul who throughout his life stood for the cause of freedom and justice. He remained steadfast while fighting for the human rights of Kashmiris and as a doctor always cared for his patients. Yasin Malik said that the brutal way in which doctor sahib was martyred by Indian forces still remain a glaring proof of Indian oppression in Jammu Kashmir. He said that Kashmiri struggle for freedom is adorned with the sacred blood of martyrs life doctor Asahi and hence no earthly power can defeat this struggle. A delegation of JKLF led by deputy organizer Siraj ud din Mir and comprising of District president Baramullah Abdul Rashid Magloo, Ghulam Qadir Khan ,Abdul Qayoom and others visited Seer Sopore where they participated in a congregational meeting held for great martyrs martyr Abdul Gani Wani @ Sher Khan and martyr Muhammad Akbar Najar @ Yasin Khan who were martyred in 1992. While paying tributes to these martyrs, JKLF leaders pledged to take forward their mission at every cost. Another JKLF activist Peer abdul Rashid also addressed people at Budgam and paid tributes to martyrs. Meanwhile JKLF has strongly condemned the arrest of JKLF vice chairman Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt and nocturnal raid on the house of another JKLF leader Javed Zargar. While condemning this police highhandedness, JKLF has termed it as worst state sponsored terrorism.(KNO)
